- SGA forms committee to discuss appropriate hair length for men.
- College initiates first annual business day.
- The Rascals plays a concert at FSC.

- Apollo 13 launches.
- Notable Deaths: Jimi Hendrix and Janis Joplin.

Notable Events at FSC:
- Ludd M. Spivey Humanities and Fine Art Center opens during the 86th Founder’s Week.
- WFSC radio station created.
- The FSC Concert Choir was part of the 1,500-voice choir that sang at the opening of Disney World.
- NCAA College Division Baseball Champions.
- Men’s Soccer won the Florida Intercollegiate Soccer Conference.

- Apollo 14 lands on the moon.
- Walt Disney World opens in Orlando.
- Notable Deaths: Jim Morrison, Coco Chanel, Louis Armstrong.

- More variety of food and self-service lines incorporated in the cafeteria.

- FSC hosted the annual DGWS Intercollegiate Volleyball Tournament.
- Joseph-Reynolds, Spivey, and the Panhellenic building get remodeled.
- Jesse Owens spoke at Convocation.

- Watergate Scandal.
- Sydney Opera House opens.
