You don't have to figure out how to present yourself from scratch. Resume templates and samples written in the language of your major, a breakdown of what makes a cover letter land, practice interviews with real recruiters where the stakes are zero and the feedback is honest, a headshot that doesn't look like a cropped group photo, and a closet full of professional clothes you can access.
Use what you need. Come back for the rest when you need it.
Your resume and cover letter are usually the first impression an employer gets. The goal is simple: get them to read the resume, the cover letter, and get yourself the interview.
Cover letters say the things a resume can’t: why you want this role, why you want this company, and what you bring that isn’t on the page.
Three or four short paragraphs:
What Makes a Strong Resume
Templates save you time and help you avoid the formatting mistakes that send resumes to the bottom of a pile. Use one as a starting point, then make it yours.

General Resume Template - for upperclassmen with internships, jobs, and leadership experience
Sample Resumes by Major
The strongest resumes are written in the language of the field. A nursing resume
reads differently from a marketing resume, which reads differently from a chemistry
resume. These samples show how to frame your coursework, projects, internships, and
skills.

If your major isn’t here, ask a career professional for examples that match your field.
Interviewing is a skill, and like any skill, it improves with practice. Three ways to sharpen yours:
One-on-one interview prep. Work with a career coach who will walk you through what to expect, how to answer the tough questions, and how to stand out. Available year-round, whenever you need it.
Moc Interview Day. No-stakes practice with real recruiters from real companies. You’ll walk out with honest, actionable feedback you can use when it counts.
Career and Internship Expo. Central Florida’s top employers come to campus to meet Florida Southern students. Bring your resume, dress the part, and leave with leads.

Looking the part is part of feeling confident. Career Services makes it easy for every Moc to present their best self - at no cost.
