Office of Mail Services
Receiving Mail and Packages
Your mailing address on campus is:
First and Last Name or FSC ID #Box # or Apt Name LHA, LMV, Garden or Star.
111 Lake Hollingsworth Drive
Lakeland, Florida 33801
Do not write "PO Box" before your box number. It confuses delivery services and delays your mail.
When something arrives: You will get an email at the address listed in the FSC Portal, so check your mailbox regularly and be sure to white list notifications to prevent them from going to spam. Wait for the email before asking about a package, then pick it up at the campus mailroom window located in the corridor by the undercafe.
Plan a little lead time: it can take 24 to 48 hours after a "Delivered" confirmation for a package to reach the post office, and up to two business days for anything that arrives over a weekend. Delivery is slower in August, September, and January, when volume is highest.
Note: A USPS delivery confirmation reading "Delivered, Lakeland 33815" means the package has arrived at the Lakeland Post Office, not that it has been received by Mail Services.

Sending Mail and Packages
Mail services also sells stamps and offers priority mail, insured mail, tracking, and other USPS services, plus outgoing UPS and FedEx. Bring cash or a check, since the office does not accept credit or debit cards.
To estimate shipping costs before you come in, use the USPS Postage Price Calculator.
For international shipments, including military APO/FPO addresses, Canada, and Mexico, attach a customs form you created and paid for online. The office cannot accept handwritten customs forms or stamps, so complete everything before you bring the shipment in.

New Students
Your mailbox is assigned at orientation, and you will use your box number for every pickup, so keep it handy. Replacing a lost key costs $20, if a key has been lost multiple times a lock cylinder will need to be replaced. This will result in a $50 charge. Please make sure all keys are handed back into the mailroom at the end of the year.
Shipping ahead for move-in? Florida Southern partners with Collegeboxes' Ship to School service, which delivers your boxes to campus in time for move-in day, so you do not have to travel with everything at once. No packages will be accepted before 28th July for move in.

Mail Over Breaks, Summer, and After You Leave
Before you leave for summer break, please make sure your forwarding address is up to date. Mail will be forwarded from the end of the semester through the first week of August. If you are staying on campus, the mailroom will continue to deliver your mail as usual.
Have a question? We're here to help.
The mailroom is open Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
