Florida Southern offers free, secure Wi-Fi for all students, alumni, and employees in our academic and administrative buildings.
How to connect:
- Select "FSC Moc Spot" from your list of available networks.
- Enter the network password, which you can find on the FSC Portal.
- For full instructions, see the setup guide.
Note: The FSC wireless network works with current browsers, including Edge, Firefox, Chrome, and Safari.
ResNet Wi-Fi
ResNet is the Wi-Fi network for our residence halls, providing internet access for students living on campus.
How to connect:
- Connect to "MyResNet Start Here" from your available networks.
- Open a browser to set up your account.
- Once your account is set up, forget "MyResNet Start Here" from your list of networks.
- Select "MyResNet-5G," then enter your password.
- Technical support is available 24/7 at 833.515.2833.
Surf Lakeland
The Surf Lakeland Hotspot is part of the downtown Lakeland wireless network. The campus community can use any personal device to access the internet on this network.
How to connect:
- Network name (SSID): SURF Lakeland
- Security/encryption: Disabled
- Network type: Infrastructure or Access Point
- This is an open network; no user ID required.

Before connecting to the FSC campus network, please review the following important policies for all network users.
Campus Network
- Anti-virus software is required. You must have anti-virus software installed on your computer to access the internet on campus. Anti-virus software on personal computers not owned by the College is the owner's responsibility.
- FSC does not use proxies.
- FSC is protected behind a firewall. As a result, many chat programs will not work on the campus network.
- The campus Help Desk is available for questions during regular lab hours at 📞 863.616.6426 (ext. 6426). Please note that Florida Southern policy prohibits staff from working on student computers.
- FSC cannot guarantee the results of software downloaded through this network. Because every computer system is unique, results can be unpredictable. Florida Southern College does not endorse or support any software and accepts no responsibility for any software downloaded from or through this network. Users assume all risks involved in the installation of software.
- Warning messages may be issued periodically for areas where you are not in compliance. These messages will not block your internet access.
- Policies may be updated in the future. FSC may modify these policies to require compliance in additional areas. You will be notified in advance of any changes.
