Southern Living Names Florida Southern College as One of The Most Beautiful College Campuses in the South… Again
Jun 16, 2022
Southern Living once again has acknowledged what Mocs already know – that our campus is one of the most beautiful in the country.
In its rankings of The Most Beautiful College Campuses in the South, Florida Southern is ranked sixth on the list. FSC is the highest-ranked college in the state of Florida, and one of only two in the Top 20. Florida Southern is rated directly behind no. five Georgetown University, and as more beautiful than the U.S. Naval Academy, Duke University, Tulane University, and several large land grant universities, like the University of Georgia and Ole Miss. The monthly magazine and accompanying website noted Florida Southern’s, “stunning collection of buildings conceived by legendary architect Frank Lloyd Wright—as well as its scenic locale along Lake Hollingsworth… [a]lso worth noting are Wright's campus fountain, called the Water Dome, and the Wright-designed campus planetarium.”
Over the years, several organizations have praised Florida Southern for our picturesque campus. Architectural Digest named us among the Ten Colleges with the Best Architecture in the country. The Princeton Review’s Best Colleges Guide also consistently ranked Florida Southern as top 10 in the nation for Most Beautiful Campuses—earning the #1 spot for an unprecedented two consecutive years in 2012 and 2013, the first time the same college had received the No. 1 designation for two consecutive years.
Southern Living celebrates the food, homes, and places that define our region. The original article about FSC can be found here:
