Biography

Hometown

I was born and raised in Frostproof, Florida. After college, I stayed in Marion County for almost two years before making my way back to Polk County in 2021.

I love working with others to help turn their goals into reality. Education is so close to my heart, and I’m passionate about helping educators along their own journey in the field.

Education

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in English Writing from FSC! Since graduating, I’ve spent the last four and a half years working in secondary education.

Favorite Spot on Campus

Anywhere in or near the library. Just put me where the books are!

Favorite Local Restaurant

It’s impossible to choose, but a perfect day of Lakeland eats for me would be Born and Bread for breakfast, Black and Brew for lunch, and LoveBird for dinner.

Favorite Thing to Do in Lakeland

I love going to Circle B! It's my favorite spot to photograph wildlife.

Favorite Movies

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind when I want to be thoughtful, and The Mummy is my go-to comfort rewatch.

Favorite Book

Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neale Hurston is a favorite, but I also enjoy a good thriller!

Hobbies

I love reading, traveling, playing video games, spending time outdoors, and hanging out with family and friends.
