In the classroom, I strive to utilize active/cooperative learning strategies in the classroom, establish the relevance of material, create a positive learning environment, and respect diversity among students. I believe that applying these concepts can help turn every student into a lifelong learner. It is important to me that each student feels that their needs, questions, and ideas are respected and valued.
Biography
I've worked as a family nurse practitioner for nearly 15 years. I started my career in family practice but spent the majority of my time working with older adults in primary and palliative care. I moved to Florida from Oregon in 2022 and moved to academia. I enjoy working with the team at Florida Southern to educate the next generation of nurse practitioners.
