Florida Southern prepared me for a career in the modern workforce, with a strong understanding of the true fundamentals of computer science as well as the latest and greatest advancements and explorations in tech. The faculty and staff at the school are very kind, attentive, and well educated. My education at FSC helped set me on the path to become one of the youngest staff engineers ever at Lockheed Martin at the age of 26.

Ultimately I want to see students develop the skills and mindset to be successful in their chosen field. To accomplish this I work with students to learn to be independent, critical thinkers and provide real-world context for course assignments to keep students engaged. I always try to help students pursue their passions. Computer science is a great field of exploration and discovery where creativity should be both nurtured and encouraged.

My time at FSC, the computer science program specifically, played a huge role in getting me here! The small class sizes made it easy to learn, and the professors truly went out of their way to help us succeed. The real-world experience and teamwork skills I gained there prepared me well for leading in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. FSC gave me the foundation, confidence, and support I needed to grow into the leader I am today.
