Biography
Dr. Albaum is a seasoned higher education professional recognized for her unwavering dedication to student success. Her expertise lies in fostering robust community relationships, optimizing organizational structures, and instilling a shared vision for excellence. She holds a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in Higher Education Administration from the University of South Florida, a Post-Graduate Certificate in College Teaching, and a Master of Education in Higher Education and Student Affairs. She earned her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance with a Business Minor from Florida State University.
Currently serving as the Vice President of Student Life at Florida Southern College since December 2022, Dr. Albaum has spearheaded initiatives to enhance student experiences. Notable achievements include revamping the Division of Student Life and implementing data-driven interventions resulting in marked improvements in retention, engagement, and academic support utilization.
In her previous role as the Executive Director of Career Services, Dr. Albaum propelled FSC to national recognition, achieving rankings on The Princeton Review's "Best Career Services" list for the first time in college history. Through a focus on data-driven outcomes, she significantly improved graduate success rates and fostered strong alumni relations.
