Quality Enhancement Plan

What is the QEP?

The Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) is a critical part of the accreditation process for institutions under the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). It represents Florida Southern College's commitment to continuous improvement and enhancing its educational programs.

The QEP is a comprehensive document that:

  • Focuses on Improvement - It addresses specific student learning outcomes or areas of student success.
  • Demonstrates Capability - The plan highlights the institution's ability to initiate, implement, and complete targeted initiatives.
  • Engages the Community - Broad-based involvement from faculty, staff, students, and community partners ensures collaborative development and implementation.
  • Measures Success - An integrated assessment plan evaluates progress and achievement of QEP goals.

Engages the Community

Broad-based involvement from faculty, staff, students, and community partners ensures collaborative development and implementation.

Measures Success

How Can the FSC Community Get Involved?

The Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) success relies on broad-based participation from the entire Florida Southern College community. The more voices contributing, the stronger and more impactful the plan will be.

Share Your Ideas

Faculty, staff, students, and community partners are encouraged to engage in conversations, offer insights, and help shape the QEP’s goals and initiatives.

Join a Committee

Dedicated QEP committees actively plan, implement, and assess. Your expertise and perspective can help drive the plan forward.

Participate in Events

Campus-wide events will provide opportunities to learn more about the QEP and offer input on how FSC can enhance student learning and success.

Your involvement is vital to creating a plan that reflects our shared commitment to continuous improvement and student success.

Key Dates to Keep in Mind

As we progress with the QEP, your awareness and participation are essential to its success. Please mark these important dates on your calendar:

Spring 2025

Initial implementation of QEP initiatives begins—your involvement will include the topic submissions and white papers.

Fall 2025

The second-phase evaluation of QEP topics will be shared, offering opportunities for feedback and reflection. Finally, the topic will be voted on and submitted for the Board of Trustees.

Spring 2026

Continued engagement as students, faculty, and community members reflect on QEP progress and its impact.

Stay Informed

We welcome your questions and feedback! If you have any inquiries about the QEP, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
