FSC's Interactive and Game Design curriculum blends artistic practice and expression with new media technology across two degree paths.

BA in Interactive and Game Design
The Bachelor of Arts offers artistic application of interactive and game design principles within a variety of academic and professional contexts. With more than half of coursework in the liberal arts, the BA develops well-rounded designers with broad intellectual foundations alongside their technical and creative training.

BFA in Interactive and Game Design
The Bachelor of Fine Arts offers an intensive artistic application of interactive and game design principles culminating in a senior exhibition and critique. Designed specifically for students preparing to enter the professional game and interactive media industry, the BFA develops technical competence, aesthetic judgment, and a strong professional portfolio.

Both degrees offer interdisciplinary concentrations in either programming or art and cinema, allowing students to further diversify their skill set based on their career goals. Interactive and Game Design is an interdisciplinary art, and students are encouraged to build expertise in drawing, literature, art history, and acting alongside their core coursework.

Interactive and Game Design Minor
The 20-credit minor provides a focused introduction to the field through five core courses: Principles of Game Design (ART 1150), New Media (ART 1160), User Experience Design (ART 2225), Simulation/Cinematic VR (ART 4320), and either Experimental Game Design (ART 3160) or Web Design (ART 3510).
